New chairman hosts JAMA's 2010 annual reception in Brussels on 29 June

The 14th JAMA annual reception was held in Brussels on 29 June.  JAMA's new chairman Mr Toshiyuki Shiga (also Chief Operating Officer of Nissan Motor Corporation) welcomed more than 150 participants representing the European institutions, EU Member States and industry.  This year's event focussed on EU-Japan cooperation on low-carbon road transport and other key issues facing the industry today, and JAMA had the honour to welcome Ms. Ruth Paserman, member of the Cabinet of Vice President Tajani responsible for Industry and Entrepreneurship, as its distinguished guest speaker.

JAMA publishes the 2010 brochure on Japanese auto manufacturers' contribution to the EU economy

The annual JAMA publication Common Challenges, Common Future provides the latest facts and figures on JAMA members' production, research-and-development (R&D), investment and employment activities across Europe.  JAMA members are committed to continuously contributing to the European economy and further growth of the automobile industry through their EU-based operations.

42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011

JAMA is delighted to announce that the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show will be held from the 2nd to 11th of December, 2011, for the first time at Tokyo Big Sight, with the venue being transferred to Tokyo's urban area to mark its new start as a "Reborn" Tokyo Motor Show.  The event will offer a comprehensive display of automotive products and ideas, including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, vehicle bodies, parts, machinery and tools, with participation from the fields of advanced ICT, urban systems and environment/energy for a low-carbon road transport.
