Notes:

  1. The figures for the first quarter of calendar year 2007 reflect the use of a new method, adopted as of January 2007, for computing overseas unit production  (see accompanying reference material titled “JAMA Explains New Computation Method for Japanese Automakers’ Overseas Unit Production”).
  2. The “Change from previous year” percentage figures were calculated by dividing the figures for January-March 2007 (obtained using the new computation method) by the previous year’s figures for the same period (obtained using the former method).
  3. Fiscal 2006 statistics comprise the total of the figures for April-December 2006 (obtained using the former computation method) and the figures for January-March 2007 (obtained using the new method).
