Japanese Automakers’ Overseas Production
[2nd Quarter & 1st Half Cumulative of Calendar 2007]
Overseas vehicle production by Japanese automakers in the second quarter of 2007 totalled 2,929,370 units. This is explained primarily by expanded overseas production in the world’s major markets except Middle East and Africa.
The cumulative total for the first half of calendar year 2007 (January 2007 through June 2007) was tracked at 5,837,739 units, owing likewise to expanded overseas production except Middle East and Africa.
