Japanese Automakers’ 2010 Overseas Production Statistics
(Second Quarter and First Half Cumulative, Calendar 2010)
Overseas vehicle production by Japanese automakers in the second quarter of calendar 2010 totalled 3,177,316 units, up 39.4% from the same quarter in previous year. This outcome reflects expanded local production in all regions during the quarter under review.
The results for the first half (January through June) of 2010 likewise reflect the rise in local production worldwide, with the total for that period finishing at 6,411,259 units, up 51.1% from the first half of 2009.
