Automobile Production Data for December 2004

Automobile production in December 2004 was recorded as 791,055 units. Compared with the 817,790 units total recorded for the same month of the previous year, this is a decrease of 26,735 units or 3.3%, and production down on the same month of the previous year after two months of upturn.

The production total for calendar year 2004 (January – December) stood at 10,511,518 units. Compared with the 10,286,018 total recorded in the previous year, this is an increase of 225,500 units or 2.2%. It is also an increase on the same period of the previous year for three consecutive years.

The KD export reached the total of 469,638 units, and it also shows an increase of 5.2% as compared with the previous year.
