Number of Automobiles Produced
Automobile production in July 2006 was recorded as 977,856 units. Compared with the 903,495 units total recorded for the same month of the previous year, this is an increase of 74,361 units or 8.2%, and production increase on the same month of the previous year for nine consecutive months.

Motorcycle Production Data for July 2006

Number of Motorcycles Produced
Motorcycle production in July 2006 was recorded as 131,714 units. This is 4,636 units or 3.4% down as compared with the 136,350 total registered in the same month of the previous year. It is a production down on the same month of the previous year after four months of upturn.

Automobile export in July 2006 was recorded as 513,626 units, up 87,278 units or 20.5% as compared with 426,348 units recorded for the same month of the previous year. It is an export increase on the same month of the previous year for twelve consecutive months.

Motorcycle export in July 2006 was recorded as 99,034 units, up 10,582 units or 12.0% as compared with 88,452 units recorded for the same month of the previous year. It is an export increase on the same month of the previous year for four consecutive months.
